The JLDSC Open Championships – 2009
To be held under ASA Laws and JLDSC rules.
In 2008 an open event for swimmers attached to Jersey affiliated clubs was held as a 'proving ground' for this the first year proper of the Jersey Open. Overseen by a team of qualified referees from the ASA Southern Region they led us to believe that this will be a popular weekend break 'with a nice warm swim' thrown in for good measure. A 3km swim for juniors under sixteen plus masters - 40 and over who felt it good enough distance for their capabilities is complementary to a 5Km event for seniors 16 - 40 and masters, again 40 and over.
We look forward to Category II swimmers from ASA affiliated clubs joining us for this swim; you will find application and information forms attached.
